Take the Baltimore Orioles on the moneyline. I look for the Orioles to hit John Smoltz (1-4, 7.04 ERA) hard tonight. Smoltz has struggled over six starts this season with an ERA of 7.04, and pitching with just four days of rest will not help him tonight. The Orioles lit up Smoltz in his last outing as he allowed nine hits and six earned runs over just five innings and I look for the Orioles to hit him hard again tonight. There is a reason why the Atlanta Braves departed with Smoltz; his fastball is not as good as it use to be and he has given up 42 hits over just 30.7 innings this season. The Red Sox are just 1-5 in Smoltz’s last six starts and they are just 1-4 in their last five road games as a favorite. Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie (7-9, 5.21) has only allowed more than three earned runs just once over 10 home starts this season and I look for him to have a solid start at home tonight. Take the Baltimore Orioles as my MLB free play for Friday night. Vernon Croy massive 24-13 MLB run continues Friday night with his biggest MLB AL play of the month. Get on Vernon Croy’s 5* MLB AL Game of the Month. The selection is backed by a full in-depth report so you can bet with confidence Friday
Take the ‘under’ 9 1/2 when the Oakland Athletics visit the Boston Red Sox in the final game of their four-game set this afternoon. Both of the starters in the matchup have pitched well lately. Jon Lester (9-7, 3.79 ERA) has an AL-best 1.83 ERA since May 31 and opponents are hitting just .202 against him over his last 10 starts. Gio Gonzalez (2-2, 7.75) is coming off his best start of the season holding a very powerful Yankees line-up to just one earned run and two hits over 6.7 innings. And that was in New York where the balls have been flying out of the park this season. The over/under is 0-8 for the Red Sox in their last eight home games against a lefty starter, and the O/U is 1-7-1 in Lester’s last nine starts after a quality start in his last outing. With the first three games in this series going ‘over’ the posted ‘total’, I look for a pitchers duel Thursday afternoon. Take the ‘under’ 9 1/2 as my MLB free play for Thursday afternoon. Vernon Croy’s 23-12 MLB run continues right here Thursday afternoon with his MLB Totals Top Play. So make sure you get on it
Take the Kansas City Royals on the moneyline. We are getting solid value here Wednesday night with KC starter Zack Greinke, one of the best pitchers in baseball, going against Baltimore’s Chris Tillman, who’s making his Major League debut. Tillman has pitched great for Triple-A Norfolk with an ERA of just 2.70 over 18 starts but that was in Triple-A. Greinke (10-6, 2.04 ERA) has pitched well this season. Most recently, he limited a very potent Texas Rangers line-up to one earned run and three hits over seven innings while striking out 10 batters. Greinke has an ERA of just 2.25 over his last three starts and he allowed just one earned run earlier this season against the Orioles over seven innings. The Royals are 5-1 in Greinke’s last six starts against a team with a losing record; the Orioles are just 1-7 in their last eight games. Take the Kansas City Royals as my MLB free play for Wednesday night. Vernon Croy’s Massive 21-11 MLB run continues Wednesday afternoon with his huge MLB Total of the Week so make sure you get on it now along with his other top MLB plays for
Take the Houston Astros on the moneyline. We are getting solid value here Tuesday night with the Astros who have Roy Oswalt (6-4, 3.66 ERA) on the mound. Oswalt has pitched well on the road this season with an ERA of just 3.37 allowing just 56 hits over 72 innings while striking out 52 batters. Oswalt has also pitched solidly over his last three starts with an ERA of just 2.86 while lasting an average of 7.3 innings per start. And the Astros are a perfect 5-0 in Oswalt’s last five starts coming into Tuesday night’s game. This is Ryan Dempster’s (5-5, 4.09 ERA) first start since July 2 so I do not expect him to throw deep into this game and both teams bullpens are not rested after last night’s game went into the 13th inning. The Cubs are just 1-5 in Dempster’s last six starts and are 0-4 in his last four starts against the Astros. Chicago is also just 3-6 when Dempster has pitched at night this season. Take the Houston Astros as my MLB free play for Tuesday night. Vernon Croy crushed the books again last night cashing his 5* MLB NL Game of the Month with the Chicago Cubs winning 5-1 with the long ball! Vernon Croy’s Huge 20-10 MLB Run continues right here with his MLB SMASH which is his only play released for Tuesday! Get on it
Take the Toronto Blue Jays on the moneyline. Seattle starter Felix Hernandez (11-3, 2.45 ERA) has pitched well but the Jays are hitting .282 as a team on the road this season, which is one of the major’s top averages. And Hernandez has pitched better away from home. The Jays are 7-1 in Ricky Romero’s (8-4, 3.44) last eight starts when pitching with just four days of rest and he has an advantage against the Mariners because they have never faced him before. The Jays are also a perfect 4-0 in Romero’s last four starts as an underdog. Romero has been good at pitching himself out of trouble and I look for him to have a solid start tonight on the road. The Mariners are just 1-6 in their last seven home games against a team that has a losing record on the road and they are hitting just .229 as a team over their last seven games while averaging just 3.1 rpg. Seattle is just 8-25 in their last 32 games after allowing 10 or more runs in their previous game. Take the Toronto Blue Jays as my MLB Free Play for Monday night. Vernon Croy crushed the books last night with the Chicago White Sox winning hands down as his 5* MLB ESPN Game of the Month. Vernon’s huge MLB run continues Monday night with his 5* MLB NL Game of the Month. Get on it
Take the Texas Rangers on the moneyline. Texas starter Kevin Millwood (9-7, 3.44 ERA) was solid in his last outing which was against a very good Red Sox ball club where he allowed just six hits and two earned runs over six innings. Sidney Ponson (1-6, 7.63) was hit hard in his last outing where he gave up eight hits and six earned runs over just five innings against the Angels; I look for the rangers to hit him hard Sunday. The Royals bullpen has struggled this season at home with an ERA of 5.59 and the Royals are just 0-6 in Ponson’s last six starts as an underdog. The Royals are just 6-20 in their last 26 games in Game 3 of a series and they are just 9-23 in their last 32 home games. Take the Texas Rangers as my MLB free play for Sunday afternoon. Vernon Croy crushed the books yesterday with his 4* MLB Smash of the Week and his 16-8 MLB Run continues Sunday with his 5* ESPN Game of the Month. Get on this HUGE PLAY
Take the Chicago Cubs on the moneyline. The Cubs are starting to hit the ball a lot better averaging 5.4 rpg over their last seven games while hitting .266 as a team. The Cubs opponents are hitting just .221 against them over their last seven games and I look for Randy Wells (5-4, 3.00) to have a strong outing against a team he pitched great against back on June 7. Wells allowed just seven hits and two earned runs over 6.7 innings in his last start against the Reds in Cincinnati. The Reds pitching has been bad on the road this month with an ERA of 7.78 over 10 road games. Starter Aaron Harang (5-10, 4.17 ERA) has been hit hard over his last three starts with an ERA of 6.19 while lasting an average of just 5.3 innings per start. The Reds are just 2-8 in Harang’s last 10 road starts as an underdog and they are just 1-7 in their last eight games in Game 1 of a series. The Reds are just 9-23 in their last 32 road games and the Cubs are a perfect 5-0 in Wells’ last five starts as a favorite. Take the Chicago Cubs as my MLB free play for Friday afternoon. Vernon Croy crushes the books with his Friday Night MLB SMASH as his huge MLB run continues. This winning play is backed by a 100 percent perfect angle that puts cash in your pocket. Get on this MLB underdog
Take the Chicago White Sox on the moneyline. The White Sox have the superior pitcher on the mound today with Mark Buehrle (10-3, 3.52 ERA). Buehrle has pitched solid at home this season with an ERA of just 2.81 through 11 starts. Furthermore, he allowed just one earned run in his last outing through 7.3 innings while walking no batters. Buehrle is 14-1 with a 2.47 ERA in his last 20 starts at home dating back to the first game after the 2008 All-Star game. Scott Kazmir (4-5, 6.62) walked six batters and left the game after just four innings in his last start against the White Sox while giving up two home runs back on June 18. I look for the White Sox to hit him hard this afternoon. The Rays are just 1-6 in Kazmir’s last seven starts after a quality start in his last outing and the White Sox are 9-1 in their last 10 games against a lefty starter. Take the Chicago White Sox as my MLB free play for Thursday afternoon. Vernon Croy’s 12-6 MLB Run continues with his HUGE Thursday Night MLB SMASH. It’s backed by a 100 percent perfect angle that puts cash in your pocket again. Get on it
Take the Detroit Tigers on the moneyline. We are getting great value tonight with the Tigers, who are 4-0 in their last four home games against the Mariners. The Mariners are just 11-26 in their last 37 road games against a team with a winning record at home greater than .600 and the Tigers are 8-2 in their last 10 games against a right-handed starter. Felix Hernandez (10-3, 2.51) has been lights out this season, but Detroit has had a lot of success against him at Comerica Park in the past. The last time Hernandez made a trip to Detroit he allowed 10 hits and six earned runs over five innings. Detroit also had seven hits and three earned runs against Hernandez in Seattle earlier this season. Armando Galarraga (5-8, 5.09) has just one career start against the Mariners where he allowed five hits and just one earned run over six innings, and I look for him to have a strong outing pitching with 10 days rest.
Take the New York Mets on the moneyline. We are getting solid value here Monday night with the superior overall team who should not be dogs in this game. The Nationals just lost four straight to the Chicago Cubs and they are just 2-12 in their last 14 home games against a team that has a road winning record below .400. The Nationals are just 11-42 in their last 53 games against an NL East division opponent and they are just 14-41 in their last 55 games in Game 1 of a series. The Mets are 20-7 in their last 27 games when playing a team that has a record below .400 and the Mets are 5-1 in their last six games against the Nationals. Livan Hernandez (5-5, 5.10 ERA) has owned the Nationals over two starts against them this season with an ERA of just 0.56. I look for him to have a solid outing for the Mets who need him to pitch past the sixth inning tonight. Take the New York Mets as my MLB Free Play for Monday night. Vernon Croy is a red-hot 8-2 on the bases since the All-Star break and his 80% MLB run continues right here with his 3* Monday Night MLB SMASH. Make sure you get on it now. Cubs/Phillies live on
